Discover the Magic That is Alton Towers

Nestled right in the very heart of the United Kingdom, there is a theme park that rides roughshod over all others. When you visit you'll probably find that one day simply isn't enough to enjoy all it has to offer, so you'll no doubt want to take advantage of the accommodation that is available nearby.

The theme park in question is Alton Towers, and it's well known for its ability to give its guests a thrilling day out, whatever the British weather may throw at them.

All Ages Are Welcome

One of the main reasons that so many people love Alton Towers is that it caters to every single age group. Although it's best known for its white knuckle rides - Oblivion and Air to name but two - it is also packed to the brim with rides, attractions and activities for young children, and perhaps the odd few adults with a less than strong stomach!

Most of the big name rides at Alton Towers have a height restriction for safety reasons, but if you or your kids find you are a little too short to make it onto those rides, there's plenty to do to ensure you don't get bored.

Alton Towers has recently introduced a brand new eighteen-hole golf course for example - but it's not just any old golf course. This one takes crazy golf to a whole new level. You'll find yourself taking on slopes, obstacles, hills and more, all the while weaving in between, under and around the biggest rides at Alton Towers. It truly enables you to see the big name rides from a whole new angle.

Not Just The Rides

Most people think of the big rides when they think of Alton Towers, which isn't really surprising as that's exactly what most people go for. But Alton Towers also has spectacular gardens within its grounds, and they are well worth seeing. If the weather allows it, you can even pack your swimming costume and go for a swim in Lagoona Bay, Alton Towers' own water park. The water park is separate from the theme park however, so bear this in mind when you visit.

Is it expensive?

A day at Alton Towers will never be the cheapest day out - but there are ways to save money:

It's posible to get in for less if you pre-book over the Internet. Online booking offers worthwhile savings. There are also family tickets available, which can save you a considerable amount of money, and there are further discounts for young children and the disabled.

Where can we stay?

Alton Towers really does cater to everyone, and has so much to see and do that a single day isn't enough to take full advantage of what it has to offer.

Why not make a weekend of it by booking an Alton Towers Hotel - and see how many thrills you can stand?
